Student Council

What is the Student Council

Every year, students get the opportunity to nominate themselves and run in Students' Union Elections for the chance to be voted into a part-time Student Council officer role. The Student Coucil works together to tackle different issues and help to improve certain areas of student life. ALL students are represented through council, this may be through an academic representative or a student officer (BAME, LGBTQ+ and more!)

The student council will meet once a month. As students are based across different campuses, the meetings will be held online.

By running for a Student Council position you will be given the power and opportunity to set up and run campaigns and events, set up and support clubs and societies, and have your say on topics you are passionate about. These roles are what you make of them and look amazing on UCAS applications and on your CV.
